I reached out and was provided these answers to a few questions I had regarding the new Block. Dr. Jiang sent back these answers....
1. How long after you eat can you take Block if you forgot to take it right before eating?
We recommend taking Block right before eating for best results. It is important that block travels through your digestive system with food. It is best to take Block before or during your meal.
2. How long does it work in the tummy after taking it.
Block starts working immediately and works while it travels down your digestive system with the food you consume. Block does not settle in the stomach, but passes thought into the intestines. The clinical studies showed that it works up to 3 hours.
3. How long before you eat can you take it and it still work? (Yes I know it fast acting) ;)
We recommend taking Block 0-30 minutes before eating for best results. It is important that block travels through your digestive system with food. We do not recommend taking Block too far ahead of a meal due to how it works.
4. How much does Plexus Block, block food wise. A box of donuts or a sandwich. Does that make sense? I know 48% but what percentage of food does it Block.
In human studies, it was demonstrated that when ingestion of 50 g of carbohydrates from bread with Block, there was up to 48% reduction in glucose absorption. Theoretically, to some extent, Block will inhibit carbohydrate digestion and block glucose absorption from other sources. But it may have some variations among different carbs-containing foods.
